Hey, hey! How are you guys today?
I’m such a sucker for lamp makeovers. I don’t know why I’m drawn to every sad-looking ’70s monstrosity or shadeless relic from the ’80s in thrift stores, but I am. Just about every lamp in our house has been made over in some way.
Oh, and my obsession doesn’t stop at table lamps. I like a good ceiling fixture fix-up, too. Observe…
And I’m not even touching on the lamps I’ve built from other stuff like bottles and shutters. Clearly, I have a problem. Clearly I also really enjoy making before and after images of my light makeovers.
So, it shouldn’t surprise you that I pulled together some of my favorite lamp re-vamps for you over on About.com. Given my obsession, I’m actually kinda shocked it took me this long.
Check out how a can of spray paint and maybe a new shade can turn a lackluster lamp into a thing of beauty.
Now go on out there and save a lamp from a landfill, then show me the light.
I can’t help it. Here are the other posts I mentioned: a light fixture made from an old shutter and a table lamp made from a glass bottle.
