How do you feel when you look at all this green? I absolutely love this color. If you follow me here on Home Made Modern, you know I’m totally a blue and green girl. With occasional yellow and gray. For me, almost any shade of green will do if used correctly. What do I mean by that, exactly? Well, there are so many different shades of green, and each one seems to have its own personality, and a decorating style associated with it.
Over on About.com, I outlined eight different shades of green and the spaces in which they each work best. If you’re a green lover (like me!), you’ve got to check this out. Just off the top of your head, which shade do you think you like best? Apple? Emerald? I’ll tell you, I thought I didn’t like hunter green. The only thing I associated with hunter green was wall-to-wall carpeting from the ’80s. But when I started researching this article, I saw some rooms done in hunter that had me…well, green with envy. As you may have noticed, I’m partial to pairing green with blue, I like green glass, and I definitely feel a green plant or two does wonders for a room. I guarantee that if you feel a room in your house is missing something, if you add a plant, you’ll see an instant improvement.
Alright, I’ll get off my green soapbox now. Don’t even get me started on blue!
