What To Do With All of That Halloween Candy

November 5, 2014 by Valerie Ott Leave a Comment

You wanna know what’s truly scary? All of the candy we have in this house after a super-successful night of trick-or-treating. The idea that we could possibly consume all of it (And we could. Easily), is frightening. So, in an effort to rid the house of at least some of our leftover candy, I made a yummy dessert to take to our church potluck on Sunday. You may have seen recipes like this on Pinterest…they’re pretty popular this time of year. If you want to cheer up a friend, or maybe have a potluck of your own to attend, whip up one of these tasty desserts using the leftover Halloween candy that haunts you every time you pass through the kitchen.

Snickers Salad
1 8 oz. tub of Cool Whip, thawed
1 small package of instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. milk
12 miniature Snickers bars, chopped
3 c. coarsely chopped Granny Smith apples
caramel sauce for topping

Mix the Cool Whip, vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Add chopped candy bars and apples and stir to combine. Spoon into an 8 x 8 glass dish and top with caramel sauce. Keep cold until serving.

Rolo Cheesecake Bars

Here are a few more ways to use up that Halloween candy:
