Well, hello! In the last 24 hours, we’ve had some mishaps. Let’s see, I went to book club on the wrong night. Our youngest spiked a fever. The spring on our garage door snapped, trapping my car inside, and our internet went out. Hmmmmm…is God trying to tell me something? I haven’t figured out exactly what the message is, but He’s got my attention and I’ve got my eyes open today.
Sooo…on to what you came here to read. We finally got a project finished! Ok, so no, our kitchen isn’t done, but I bet you didn’t even know we were working on this, too, did ya? ‘Cause I’m tricky like that and didn’t mention it. (That’s basically because I thought this project was going to come last, but we ended up getting it done while we were waiting on our tiler.)
I’ve been crushing on wainscoting, paneled walls, board and batten (whatever you wanna call it) for awhile now and knew our dining room needed some architectural interest. Lucky for me, my husband knows his way around a table saw. He knocked this out pretty quickly and I spent a couple of afternoons priming and painting. I love how the gray and white look together, and the dining room just feels so much more interesting now! Now, I’m not sure what to put above it. I’ve got some pretty candle sconces that would work, but I don’t know about art. What do you see?
