Hey there! Hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was a mixture of work and play and now I’m ready to get back “at it.”
So, here’s a thought. I love the Fourth of July, but I don’t really love the idea of spending tons of dough on accessories we’ll use one day a year. I put together some thoughts on how to combine colors and patterns for a patriotic look over on About.com. Hope you get some ideas there! Here are two mood boards I created to give you an idea:

We’re full steam ahead towards our annual Fourth of July bash, and like always right about now, I’m getting anxious that everything won’t be finished in time. We’re staring down lots of yard work, not to mention some inside projects. Despite my hesitation to spend lots of money on craft projects for this holiday, I love looking at all of the great ideas on Pinterest. Some years, I can’t resist making at least one but I’m not sure there are enough hours in the day this year. A girl can dream. Here are my favorite patriotic pins I’ve seen so far:

Tie Wreath by Sadie Seasongoods
Ribbon Flag Art by Ribbon Retreat
Burlap Flag Pillow by Simply Kierste
Painted Summer Star Glasses by Create.Craft.Love
Party Garland by Here Comes the Sun
Please follow my whole board! It’s loaded with great ideas.
Until next time…
