Hi there, friends! It’s Monday again. Hope you had a great weekend. The weather was wonderful here, but our weekend…well…we’ve had better. Do you guys ever feel just “off?” We just couldn’t seem to get our moods to match the sunshine around here. The kids were cranky and needy for reasons we couldn’t discern, I was feeling inadequate and behind the eight-ball, and my husband, well, he’s been battling chronic back pain for the past month, so his mood was understandable. And to top it off, we didn’t have a lot of free time for fun. Between cleaning out the garage, fixing a leaky pipe in the basement, priming trim, and bills…blah. Thank you for listening to my pity-party…and now on to a better week.
So. On a trip to Lowe’s for some pipe fittings for the leak my husband was fixing, I couldn’t help but notice that the garden center was in full bloom. It’s still a little early for plants, IMO (last year, we had frost in early June), it did get me in the mood for planting. Even though there’s hardly anything prettier than a simple geranium in a terra cotta pot, here are some ideas for “gilding the lily.”
