Hey there, friends! What’d you do this weekend? It was b-e-a-utiful here, so we spent lots of time outside. Well, the girls and I did. My poor husband’s back is out, so he spent a lot of time inside watching the Masters Tournament and feeling grumpy and frustrated. Can’t say I blamed him. I also had a little time to finish a project, and found some great curtains for our dining room. I hope to show you the progress we’re making in a lot of rooms soon…if only I could find the time to take the pictures. It’ll happen.
Speaking of “someday,” I’m still dreaming up ways to accessorize our kitchen. Guys, you shoulda seen my dishtowels and oven mitts before my sister-in-law took pity on me and bought me some for Christmas. They were so gross. I wish I had a picture. Stained? That doesn’t begin to describe. I’m not sure why I let it go so long. I think I just figured why bother? Our kitchen has been such a disaster for so long. Anyway, I just love these DIY dish towel ideas:
Dish towels made from vintage tablecloths–The Farm Chicks
Rainbow stitched dish towels–A Pretty Cool Life
Confetti painted dish towels–Dandee
Dish towels with printed recipe–Spoonflower
Dish towels with fruit motif–Rust & Sunshine
Cute ideas, huh? Yeah…you can buy dish towels. And maybe that’s what I’ll end up doin’ to supplement the ones I received for Christmas. But these might be fun to make on a day when I’m in the mood to make something for myself or for a friend. Great Mother’s Day gift, too. Until next time…
