Helloooooooo! How the heck have you been? I wish I could tell ya that I’ve missed blogging, but I’m just gonna be honest. I enjoyed the break. Christmas just wipes. Me. Out. Completely and totally. To the point where I can’t wait to take my tree down and put away all vestiges of the holiday. I know. I’m a bit of a Scrooge. I’ll own it.
So here we are in January, a month I really like. I like it for the blank slate that’s as clean as the new fallen snow outside. I like it for soup, and fires, and thick books, and comfy blankets, and movie marathons. I also usually like it for the surge in creativity and motivation I feel, but as I sit here typing, that feeling hasn’t quite kicked in yet.
So anyway, on to my first post of 2014…you’ve probably seen the various ways you can use drop cloths as curtains. Super-clever! So I rounded up a few other thrifty ways to decorate using one humble drop cloth:
Faux feedsack from a drop cloth by Primitive & Proper
Ruffled pillow from a drop cloth by Ink Blots & Polka Dots
Stenciled Pillow from a drop cloth by Craftberry Bush
Numbered napkins from a drop cloth by It All Started With Paint
Beautiful botanical prints on a dropcloth by The Little Brown House
I know, this was actually five projects, but I couldn’t choose between those two pillow ideas…I loved ’em both. Hope you find some inspiration here today! Happy New Year to you all!
