Craft of the Week: Chalkboard Thankful Tree

November 18, 2013 by Valerie Ott Leave a Comment

Hellloooo! How are you? We had a busy, busy weekend, my husband and I. The kiddos were with grandma, so we tried to make progress in the house (i.e. drywalling the kitchen and making an office in a closet). Have you ever tried to hang drywall on the ceiling? I’m here to tell ya, it ain’t a picnic. But progress was made and we are one step closer to the end zone. I cannot wait to spike the football. Some day I’ll show you pics, when there’s something worth sharing; but I don’t think you care about extra electrical outlets and insulating rafters. I hardly do.

Anyway, one of the reasons we’re making a big push in the kitchen is because we’re hosting a casual Thanksgiving/Buckeye football party on Michigan Saturday. Figured it would be nice to have a ceiling. But I’m trying very hard to be thankful for all we already have and frankly…it’s a lot. Here’s a great idea by House by Hoff that would make it easier to count my blessings. Isn’t it gorgeous? Love the burlap leaves! I definitely want to try this.

Until next time…
