Ever seen Hitchcock’s The Birds? Well, I have, and it’s terrifying. Even though I love any kind of feathered friend motif throughout the year, I like ’em for a totally different reason come Halloween: they can be creepy! I totally have a thing for owls, especially, and have several friendly ones stationed around the house. This owl image from The Graphics Fairy, though, has a menacing feel which is just perfect for the season. So I popped it in a frame, and propped it beside another cheap-o picture of a raven I made last year. This little grouping is guarded by the crow that’s perched on a lantern in our entry. It’s not high-dollar, but it makes me happy.
So is there anything that makes your spine tingle this time of year? Like I said, I normally love birds, but they can be ominous. And come to think of it, not a big fan of clowns EVER. What gives you the creeps?
