Hello there! Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m anxious to get into a fall routine. It’s been chaotic around this house…school started right on the heels of vacation for our first-grader; my husband has been traveling more than usual; I enjoyed a visit from my mom while he was gone; we had a busy Labor Day weekend due to a death in the family; school started this week for our preschooler; and I’m just trying to figure out how all of the puzzle pieces of my day fit together again. Do you know that feeling? Blogging, unfortunately, takes a back seat sometimes but I’m anxious to get back into a routine there as well.
Anyway, during my mom’s visit, we fit in some bargain shopping as per our usual. I just had to take some pics of the fun things they had at our TJ Maxx this time. So here we go:
No visit to the Maxx is complete without me drooling over some owl. $7.99
These silver animal busts are the coolest things. Trendy, yes. But cheap! $12.99
This line drawing of London Bridge was so great, my mom just had to swipe it up. $20.00
They had these colored chalkboards in a variety of colors. I loved the yellow one. $16.99
And this X-back bench was just gorgeous. I’ve never seen anything like this in TJ Maxx before. It was $129 on clearance, which is a steal.
As for what I bought…I got a couple of yellow bowls for our someday kitchen, a faux plant to spruce up our Vittsjo shelves (because I killed the real one, big surprise), and a dip-slash-chip thingy. I need more serving pieces, so I’m trying to snag some when I see reasonably-priced ones. And that’s it! I showed such restraint, don’tcha think?
