My fridge must be trying to tell me something. Apparently, it is fed up with the sad collection of magnets it sports and would like me to trade in the random hodge-podgy-ness for some that have real “staying power.” I say this because this is the second Craft of the Week post in two weeks that features a magnet idea. Last week, it was gilded alphabet letters…and this week, it’s an upcycle brought to you by Simply Kierste. She used frozen juice concentrate lids to create a set of fridge magnets that win points for strength and style. I’m thinkin’ this would be a good one to try with the kiddos. Thanks for the inspiration, Kierste!

So adorable and creative!
Thanks for stopping by, Jenna!
When my son was in kindergarten (a long time ago) I had this same idea and my son made everyone Christmas pictures of snowman etc. After we glued our cardboard circles in the lids I covered them with clear contact paper circles. Then we either put a magnet or a pin on the back depending on who they were for. We must have made at least 30 and they were a big hit. I still have mine and it's going on 18 years.
