Summer is waning. I know, it doesn’t officially end until the 3rd week of September; but, is there anyone out there who feels it isn’t over the day school starts? But it’s not solely for the fact that our daughter starts school next week that I feel this way. Peaches are done and harvested, there are trees with tinges of color on them, and the cicadas are a-singin’. They’re the equivalent of the fat lady, I guess. And YET…there are a few more things I’d like to do before we flip to fall. I’m not ready. Our Ohio summer has been unseasonably cool, we’ve been uncharacteristically busy, and well…I feel a bit cheated somehow. Maybe if I can squeeze out a few more drops of summer on vacation, I’ll be ready for sweaters and football…but until then, here’s what I want for the rest of summer.
