Good morning! My posts are few and far between these days because I’m trying to soak up the remaining days of summer before our oldest starts full-day school for the first time on the 21st. I’m both excited and sad about this change, as I’m sure you all understand.
But I have managed to get our bedroom painted and hang the curtains. I’m only giving you a sneak peak today, however, because the curtains still need hemmed, I want to adjust the way I hung the rod, I don’t have the right bedding, and our bedside table is littered with a level, a hammer, and tons of other tools. In the interest of keeping things real around here, this is what it looks like:
(Speaking of clutter, having kids often leads to finding an unusual assortment of objects lying around. For example, I recently found a stud finder and a miniature plastic can of baked beans next to our bed. How weird is that? My husband joked that it’s never great to need a stud finder in the bedroom. I married a funny man.)
ANYhoo…here is a little sneak peak collage of the bedroom so far.
I painted the walls Rockport Gray by Benjamin Moore. The headboard is from Tuesday Morning. The white frames are from Target (gonna put our kids’ baby pictures in them), the curtain panels are from IKEA (Stockholm Blad in brown) and the starburst mirror is from Target as well. (The mirror is actually one of a set of three, but I think I’m gonna DIY two more for a grouping of five. Too much?) In case you missed it, I wrote post last week about the look I’m shooting for. Am I getting close?
So that’s our progress…stay tuned for more! Hope you have a fantastic weekend.
