Craft of the Week: Coffee Mug Planters

April 8, 2013 by Valerie Ott 3 Comments

How cheerful are these, I ask you? Go Make Me shared this simple and clever idea for using a cup and saucer as a planter. They look great grouped together, but would also be fun to give as “just because” gifts to your book club buddies or group of girlfriends this spring. Oh, and Mother’s Day is coming up don’t forget! Great for mom and grandma, too. Thanks for the idea!

You are a genius gal, what an awesome project. Cute, inexpensive, quick. Sweet as all get out. I think I'll be looking for cute cups/mugs/saucers at thrift stores this week. Maybe even embellish them a little. Thanks for sharing a great project.

How does the water drain? Did you drill holes in the bottom of the cups?

I shared this idea from the blog Go Make Me…it's linked above. Yes, she drilled holes in the bottom of the mug. Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you enjoyed my featured craft of the week!
