Recipe of the Week: Grilled Chocolate Marshmallow Sandwiches

January 30, 2013 by Valerie Ott 24 Comments

Hi there, hope you’re having a great Wednesday! I can’t believe we’re halfway to the weekend already.

This post can’t really be called a recipe…it’s so easy. But what a great way it was to brighten our youngest daughter’s day…she just thought these were great! I’m sure they’ll make a repeat appearance on Valentine’s Day at our house.

Spread some unsalted butter on one side of a slice of bread, and a generous amount of marshmallow cream on the other. Spread some more butter on one side of another piece of bread and some Nutella on the other. Cook both pieces of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat until the toppings start to look a little melted. Put the sandwich together and cook until the bread is light brown and crispy. Cut hearts out using a cookie cutter, and voila! A sweet snack with a lot of heart.
