Craft of the Week: Bleach Stamped Fabric

January 29, 2013 by Valerie Ott 1 Comment

I love this idea. I posted about some table runners designed with bleach pens last year, but haven’t tried making some of my own yet. Now that I’ve seen this technique on Untrendy Life, though, I might just skip the bleach pens and go straight to stamps. I’m thinking this is a small-scale project…something like a pillow, or as a border on some cloth napkins. Stamping tons of yardage might just be enough to make me crazy, but it’s a perfect idea for customizing something small.

Cute, huh?

I really like this project, and I love the tea towel you mention– it would be great for small projects. I've seen it done elsewhere, but with paper rather than fabric. Bleach makes me nervous though– how do you keep it from ruining things. And does it come right off the stamps or damage the rubber?
