Retail Therapy Thursday: Target Deals

November 9, 2012 by Valerie Ott 8 Comments

Hi guys! I couldn’t wait to show you my latest deals from Target, so I just had to post twice today. But first I must profess a little love. Target is my happy place. I love the way it smells of pizza, popcorn, and Starbucks. I love the happy red spheres outside. I love the dollar bins that greet me upon arrival. I love the branding and the commercials. And I love, love, LOVE the merchandise and those delightful red clearance stickers. Ok, I think I’ve made my point. I love Target.

So, I was cruising the aisles the other day with the kiddos, really just hoping to buy a bed skirt, which I did. But then I noticed that their end caps were especially full of clearance stuff. You’ve gotta hit these at the right time, as I’m sure you know. I got these herringbone pillows for $5.98 each, and they work perfectly on our bed. I had been wanting to add some more texture on our bed and just thought I’d make some, but at this price, it was a no-brainer.

A little further down the aisle and I found these at $4.98 each. Now, you may be wondering why I wanted two identical framed bulldog (or are they boxer) silhouettes. I’ll be sharing this project next week, but needless to say, I was really just loving that they were shadowboxes with a burlap-y background. I’m gonna have to deconstruct them a little, but I don’t think it will be hard.

Finally, I found these babies in the dollar bins. They were actually in the $2.50 section. I’ve been looking at wire baskets to hang in the kitchen for fruit, but the ones I’ve seen are kinda pricey. I figured these would work on the side of a kitchen cabinet, and was so happy when they did.

Now here’s the stuff I loved, but restrained myself from buying.

Ok, I’m totally gonna get these sheets at some point. Just check out the pillows above and try to tell me they’re not perfect. Huuuhh? Huuuuhh?

Currently we stack our firewood on the floor. Not such a fab place for it. This would work better, don’t you agree?

Who needs another frame? Well, this girl!

I’m such a sucker for sweater-wrapped things right now. These vases aren’t really made out of cloth, but they sure look like the real thing. Love.

Target has a lot of great Christmas stuff out right now, and this star is just one of them. It actually IS wrapped in cable-knit, and I simply love it.

I think this is so pretty.

So that’s it! Do you want to run to your nearest Tar-zhay yet? I might just see you there…

I love your finds!!!! I especially love the basket with the little chalkboard you can write on. The baskets look great on your cupboards. I, too, love Target for ALL of the reasons you listed too! 🙂

I really wish I bought those frames now. I walked right past simply because I didn't know what to do with the dog prints. Great finds 🙂 New follower!

Thank you so much, Jess! You could do the same thing with any shadow box, of course, but I will cross my fingers that you can find some super-cheap 'cause that makes it more fun, IMO.
