Sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving sometimes doesn’t get its fair share of attention. Even though it’s my favorite holiday, I don’t do much decorating for it. My fall mantel can stay up until I’m ready to change it for Christmas, anyway. But it is fun to look at ideas for the star of the show: the Thanksgiving dinner table. Here are some great ideas for table linens such as placemats, runners, and tablecloths. These almost make me wish I was hosting this year, so I had an excuse to make one of these ASAP, but…not enough to cook a turkey. (I did that for the first time last year, and let’s just say…it wasn’t blog-worthy!)
Burlap seems to be a trend in table linens this year, and I’m lovin’ it! It’s cheap, and it’s typically pretty no-sew, which is right up my alley. So if a little gravy gets spilled, you’re not out a lot of time or money, but my question is…can you wash burlap? I’m thinking no, but if you know otherwise, feel free to correct me!
This first one isn’t a table linen, but it is a runner. Clever!
I suppose you could use cloth or paper napkins for this one:
