So I had a devil’s food cake mix and chocolate frosting, but I wanted to spruce it up so…I raided my baking cupboard and found chopped pecans. Hm. They would be good sprinkled on top, I thought, but then! I remembered we also had some caramel sundae syrup in the fridge. Voila! Turtle cupcakes! I do normally like to bake from scratch because the process is so satisfying to me, but the Home Made Modern way is all about stylishly simplifying so I’m always gratified when I can figure out a new way to do that, too.
