One of the best things about being a parent is experiencing childhood pastimes and pleasures again, but through your own child’s eyes. A lot of the Home Made Modern ideas on this blog aren’t necessarily new, but just finessed or updated a bit from things I loved as a kid. One of those things was popsicles. Is there anything better than enjoying one of these old-school summertime treats after running through the sprinkler? The easiest way to make homemade popsicles is just to freeze some juice in a Dixie cup with a popsicle stick stuck in, but I used plastic molds that are readily available and come in a variety of fun shapes. Try one of the recipes below on a hot summer day and you’ll be transported back to the days of drinking out of the hose and catching lightning bugs in a jam jar.
