Hey guys, how are ya? I hope you’re enjoying fall where you are. Although the leaves haven’t turned in our neck of the woods yet, we’re enjoying cooler days and downright chilly mornings. And one of the best parts of my day–if not the best–is when I get to shed my work skin after a long day. I pull on my typical uniform of jeans and a t-shirt, pile my hair on top of my head and sit down after dinner with a mug of tea. Nothing says cozy like candlelight to go with my tea. That’s why I whipped up this fall centerpiece for our coffee table.
A Seasonal Swap for a Fall Centerpiece
I swapped out the succulent candles–which I couldn’t bear to burn–from my succulent centerpiece for simple votives and some good ol’ acorns. This is what it looked like before.
Check out how I made a false bottom for this box to give height to whatever I choose to put in it.
Now, this simple centerpiece has gone from summery to a fall focal point. It’s perfect for a sideboard or coffee table and its low profile makes it great for a dining room table, as well.
Guys, this is just one more example of how I love to get multiple uses out of one decorative object. To get more bang for my buck, I’m always on the lookout for objects that can be customized for different seasons quickly and easily. These accessories can take on multiple personalities:
- Boxwood wreaths
- Wooden boxes and trays
- Wooden candlesticks
- Simple glass vases and jars
- Chalkboards, and
- White ceramic pieces
You can’t go wrong with a collection of these items!
Oh, and you can’t deny the beauty of a simple white candle. I mean, look.
Do you feel like having a mug of tea now? I recommend Constant Comment.

I love this.
It is perfect and something you can possibly even use dollar store items for.
Totally, Kari! I’m glad you liked it. 🙂 Hope you’re well!
