Hola! I’ve got a treat for you today! Margaritas! Recently my friends at Marshalls turned me on to the great merch they have for Cinco de Mayo. With May 5 just around the corner, I was inspired to whip up some margaritas, one of my all-time favorite drinks. Here’s the thing, though. Margaritas are often made (and guzzled) in large batches…but what if it’s just you and one other person on a Thursday night? There’s not really a need for a vat-o-liquor in that case! It’s hard to make that just-right amount for a quick happy hour with your significant other or BFF, which is why I thought you might need a margarita recipe for two.
Margarita Recipe for Two
3 oz. Patron Silver tequila
2 oz. Patron Citronge liqueur
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lime
Shake well with ice, then pour into 2 rocks glasses rimmed with salt.
Ok, now that you’ve whipped up a cocktail and put out some mango salsa and The Best Guacomole Ev-Ah! let’s dish about Marshalls. See this cute tray?
And this great cutting board perfect for cutting limes, and the cute citrus squeezer-thingie? (I like to use the technical names for things.)
It’s all from Marshalls. They also have this stuff:
Ay, caramba! Does this look like a party, or what? Clearly, Marshalls is a great place to go for entertaining essentials–and it’s all so much cheaper there!
Oh, and do you like this little cactus in a margarita glass? (I heart it.) You could group a few of these on the table, or just put one on a bar cart like I did, for a simple way to accessorize a Cinco de Mayo happy hour.
