Sure, you can decorate your front door this spring with a nice forsythia wreath or one full of tulips. You could even get crazy and tie a little birds’ nest on it. This is the season to let down your hair a little after the doldrums of winter fade incrementally into warmer days. Paint your toes hot pink. Put the top down. Play hooky and go for a drive. Stop for ice cream. Make it a banana split. Do something that wakes you up a little!
For me, that always includes freshening up the house a bit. Nothing crazy. Re-arranging the furniture, buying a couple of new pillows, or just some flowering branches for the mantel all do the trick. And–although I hate most aspects of spring cleaning–I do love throwing the windows open, shaking out the rugs, and replacing pine cones and cable knit with eggs and bunnies. It puts a spring in my step! (And some bright pink toes help, too.)
