Hellooooo! How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was crazy but wonderful. We spent tons of time with family and friends, which is what it’s all about after all, and enjoyed watching our beloved Buckeyes beat Michigan. Fun!
So now I’m onto taking down all of our fall decorations and trying to make the big switcheroo over to Christmas. Is it just me, or do we have less time between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year? I’m already stressing about everything that needs to get done in the next 3 weeks. But we did go and get our tree yesterday and we look forward to decorating it tonight, so that’s at least one box checked. Sadly, I do often view the advent season as one big “to-do” list, as much as I try not to. This year, I really hope to get a lot done earlier than usual so I can spend more time doing exactly what we’re supposed to be doing. Relaxing, and reflecting on the year, our faith, and our blessings.
SO, on to this week’s featured craft by Crafts Unleashed. You’ve seen these conical trees all over the web, I’m sure, but I had never thought to cover them in gold leaves. Clever! And very, very pretty. I’ve been wanting to make some of these for a long time. Maybe this is the year?
