Hey guys, hope you’re having a great week so far. Can I ask a question? Where did June go?
Anyhoo, I’ve got a really easy one for ya today. I’m super-into handheld lunches or snacks these days. We joined a beach club this year, and often go in the morning and stay through lunch. I’m loving anything that doesn’t require a ton of napkins or utensils, like the strawberry hand pies I shared with you last week, inspired by Country Living. These pizza croissants are quick and simple to whip up with your kids, and they taste great. Here’s what you do:
Kids’ Pizza Croissants
1 tube of refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 slices of sandwich pepperoni
3/4 c. shredded mozzarella
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
dried oregano for garnish
pizza sauce for dipping (optional)
Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles at perforations.
Place one slice of pepperoni and a healthy tablespoon of cheese on each triangle, nearest the “fat” end.
Roll up towards the pointed end.
Place seam-side down on a cookie sheet, then sprinkle each with garlic powder and oregano.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
If desired, serve with warmed pizza sauce for dipping (but if you’re going on a picnic, they’re delicious without it)
I hope your kids like these! Until next time…
