Do you ever just get a wild hair and decide to change something pretty much spur-of-the-moment? Well, as if we don’t have enough projects going on in this house (uh…hello…our kitchen wall is tore out, the back of our stove is exposed and there are holes in the ceiling), I decided to paint the guest bedroom. Mind you, there was nothing wrong with the guest room. In fact, it was the only room in the house without projects in progress. I’ve always had plans for it, but just figured I’d get to them when the rest of the house was more settled. But ohhhhh no! I just HAD to tear things up in there, too. I think I have an illness.
I saw this post by Entirely Eventful Day, and just knew I wanted one wall in our guest bedroom to be navy blue. Aren’t these colors great?
I already had a pink and navy rug in there, and the bedding is also navy, but for some reason they weren’t making sense together. So I went for it! And now, it all ties together better, I think. I used Benjamin Moore’s Aura paint in Newburyport Blue, and it only took 2 coats.
Now I’m spray painting accessories gold to glam things up a bit. I’ll show you the lamp later this week, as well as some better pics. It’s so hard to get good shots with an iPhone when you’re pointing towards a window. I really need a better camera…sigh.
What do we think? Are you as much of a fan of navy as I am these days?
